Wisconsin Military Show - HARRISON - The first Central Wisconsin Military Show featured vendors selling World War II re-enactments, many military vehicles, and all kinds of military-related memorabilia and merchandise.
The event was held Saturday at the 40-acre grounds of the Motorama Motor Show and drew thousands of people, including Steve Landgraf, 60, of St. Louis. Paul Park, Minnesota. Landgraf was one of many repeaters. He portrayed a sergeant in the Marines in the middle of World War II.

Landgraf served in the Marines from 1975 to 1983. "Just interesting, history is what you want to show," he said. "The efforts of some of these people are amazing."

Event organizer and Motorama Auto Museum owner Tom Zatloukal purchased the Iola Vintage Military & Gun Show, changing the name and moving the event north. Part of the show's purpose is to help area veterans organizations such as the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Never Forgotten Honor Flight build buildings to raise money, he said.
"This is what we hoped for," he said. "Attendance is really good, and people are supporting our doctors."
The event was special for Keith Samperisi, 44, of Wausau. Sampress joined the Marine Corps in 1990, and later joined the Army. He served for 22 years, but lost his brain due to a mental illness that affected his brain.
Sampires came to the show because he "wanted to see the cars because I used to drive them," he said. "It brings back memories, and it's amazing."
